9/9 Battle of Plattsburgh Commemoration

Location: Downtown Plattsburgh, NY 12901

The Battle of Plattsburgh, also known as the Battle of Lake Champlain, ended the final invasion of the northern states during the War of 1812.  Join us as we commemorate the Bicentennial of General Alexander Macomb’s  and Master Commandant Thomas MacDonough’s defeat of the British army on September 11, 1814.  The commemoration weekend runs from September 8-11 with tours, concerts, reenactments, fireworks, entertainment, parades and much more for the whole family to enjoy! Start Time: 6:00:00 PM - End Time: 8:00:00 PM Experience the first open house at Benjamin Mooers House to see the renowned cannon ball. Hours are Friday from 6-8 and Saturday from 3:30-5:30.
