5/4 "New Sounds" and "Deconstruction" Concert Series from DIY Plattsburgh and the Monopole Bar

Location: Monopole Bar, 7 Protection Ave, Plattsburgh, NY 12901
Start Time: 9:00:00 PM - End Time: 11:30:00 PM

Visitors can enjoy two Thursday night concert series to downtown Plattsburgh this spring, presented by DIY Plattsburgh and the Monopole Bar. "New Sounds" and "Deconstruction" focus on new underground acts in the Plattsburgh music scene. Doors open at 8:00 pm, with music starting around 9:00 pm. All concerts are free admission to patrons 21+.  "New Sounds" will bring a mix of folk, pop, and rock music, while "Deconstruction" showcases punk rock, heavy metal, and experimental artists.

April 6th: Kevin Lewis (local singer-songwriter)
April 20th: Last Nugg (local reggae/jam supergroup)
May 4th: Jon Wagar & Friends (North Country folk/bluegrass feat. members of the Wagar Brothers)
May 18th: William Hale (eclectic/epic folk rock from Glens Falls, NY)

Deconstruction schedule:
April 13th: KiefCatcher (doom metal from Burlington, VT)

Head to the 6th annual Plattsburgh Half Marathon on Sunday May 1st at 8 am! 5/20 3rd Annual "Run for Wine" 5K

Location: Vesco Ridge Vineyard, 167 Stratton Hill Road West Chazy, NY 12992
Start Time: 11:00:00 AM - End Time: 3:00:00 PM Visitors of all atheltic abilities are encouraged to participate in Vesco Ridge Vineyard's 3rd annual “Run for Wine” 5K for the North Country Honor Flight. The run starts and ends at the vineyard with raffles, drinks, food, and music from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Register online. Cost includes: entry fee, donation to the North Country Honor Flight, T-shirt (if registered by 5/7), one drink of your choice (beer, wine, or soda), food, prizes, raffles, and live music.
