Airborne Speedway Next Stop for East Coast Snocross Series
High Performance Snowmobile Race Returns to the Adirondack Coast

Plattsburgh, NY 1/9/2014 – High-performance snowmobile racers from Canada, New York and New England will compete at Airborne Speedway over a course of jumps, bumps and table tops in the first event of the International Triple Crown Series, East Coast Snocross (ECS), Saturday, January 18 and Sunday, January 19.  The three-race series includes Pro and Pro-Lite riders from East Coast Snocross presented by Amsoil and Woody’s Traction and the Quebec-based Super Competition Motorsport Tour.

Snocross is a form of snowmobile racing, much like the sport of motocross except on snow.  Athletes flip and fly their sleds over tables, banks and jumps to wow the crowd and earn points to advance to the finals.  East Coast Snocross is the new sanctioning body for snowmobile racing in the northeastern United States. ECS maintains the largest regional circuit in the northeast and intends to keep grass-roots snocross racing healthy while also cultivating new talent for tomorrow’s pro teams.

Gates open at 10:30a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, January 18-19. Daily admission can be purchased at the gate:

·         $12/adults

·         $5/kids 8-12

·         Ages seven and under free

There is plenty of snow so don’t miss out on this spectacular event sponsored locally by Airborne Speedway, Econo Lodge, Liquor & Wine Warehouse, WOKO, WIZN and Huntley Trucking.
