Description:
More than 400 anglers and Bassmaster staff and sponsors visited Lake Champlain to fish in this world-class national bass fishing tournament.  The Visitors Bureau assisted with finding lodging, logistics, advertising and promotion as well as coordinating meal needs.

The Adirondack Coast has been an instrumental collaborator with B.A.S.S. in doing just that. Bringing 300-400 guests to a community requires a lot of planning, promotion and organization. Adirondack Coast EVP Pro-Am Beach Volleyball Tournament

Location:
Plattsburgh City Beach

Description:
We welcomed 150 professional, amateur and junior level volleyball players to the Plattsburgh City Beach for a one day beach volleyball tournament.  The Visitors Bureau helped with lodging, dining and worked closely with EVP staff for organization of the day.

East Coast SnoCross

Date:
January 7-9, 2011

500 athletes and 1,500 spectators

Location:
Plattsburgh Crete Civic Center

Description:
We welcomed 450 Snocross Racers and 50 X-game contestants to the Crete Civic Center to compete in the East Coast Snowcross Series.  The Vistors Bureau assisted with lodging, acted as media liason and coordinating meal needs.

Description:
Several anglers and ABA staff visit Lake Champlain every year to host their weekend warrior bass fishing tournament.  The Visitors Bureau assisted with finding lodging, logistics, advertising and promotion as well as coordinating meals needs.

Velo Quebec - Le Grand Tour

Description:
Plattsburgh welcomed 2,000 cyclists to the Adirondack Coast as part of a seven day tour that explored the Adirondacks.  The Visitors Bureau assisted in all aspects of planning the event.  From researching facilities, bike routes, event logistics, volunteers, media/PR cordination, finding lodging and coordinating meal needs.

The Tour is a six-day cycling expedition along Lake Champlain from Glens Falls, New York, to St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, 30 miles east of Montreal. Description:
Over 400 anglers and FLW staff and sponsors visit Lake Champlain every year to fish in this world-class national bass fishing tournaments.  The group also travels with an Outdoor Family Expo that includes games, giveaways and more. The Visitors Bureau assisted with finding lodging, logistics, advertising and promotion as well as coordinating meal needs.

We hosted 25 traveler writers to the area to explore the Adriondack Coast.  The Visitors Bureau coordinated bike routes, stops at area attractions and meals.

Location:
Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse

Description:
We welcomed 1,500 runners to the fieldhouse to compete in the NYS Cross Country finals.  The Visitors Bureau assisted with finding lodging and coordinating meals.  The Visitors Bureau provided welcome bags to the organizers.
