Over the hills and far away

This loop, created by Lake Champlain Bikeways

Start the Plattsburgh Town Hall  After the climb on Norrisville Road, the route passes through Macomb State Campsite and Day Use Area, with no fees for cyclists. After Peasleeville, climbing becomes strenuous and ends after the turn onto Ore Bed Road affording great views of Lyon Mountain, working pastures, and woodlands into Dannemora.

Dannemora is a vibrant town known for its beautiful natural surroundings, rich history, and friendly locals. It offers visitors a chance to explore the Adirondack Mountains, take part in outdoor activities like fishing and camping, and experience small-town charm. With its many attractions, Dannemora is an ideal destination for those looking to get away from it all and enjoy some peace and quiet.
