State Bicycle Route 9 (Empire State Trail)

The Route 9 Bike Route is part of the Empire State Trail. The Empire State Trail is a 750-mile multi-use trail in New York State, stretching from the Battery in Manhattan to the Canadian border. The trail connects existing trails and paths, including the Erie Canalway Trail, Hudson Valley Greenway, and Champlain Valley Trail.

It is designed to provide access to nature and outdoor recreation opportunities for all New Yorkers while also promoting economic activity for local communities along its route. With its scenic views, historical sites, and recreational opportunities, the Empire State Trail is sure to be a popular destination for visitors from near and far.

This route starts at the Canadian border and travels down through the Adirondack Coast to Albany, and eventually, New York City.
