Wheel 101

Perfect for beginners, this 5 week course will cover wheel throwing, trimming, and glazing. You'll be introduced to studio basics and have the opportunity to create unique wheel thrown pieces. This is a great starting place for folks who are interested in learning to throw on the wheel! Fired pottery will be ready to pick up in 3-4 weeks.

This class is a bridge into our Open Studio program. No prior experience needed. All materials are included. Due to the fact that this class is a bridge into our open studio program, it is crucial that students attend at least one of the first two sessions. Please reach out to our Education Coordinator (education@strandcenter.org) if you have any questions regarding this policy.

Included:

• One 25lb bag of white stoneware clay (more can be purchased if needed)
• Use of classroom tools
• Free Open Studio time outside of class ($45 monthly value)
